Men's Open 2010

Our 2nd Men's Open proved a much more difficult day for  this year's competitors. Dry & windy conditions proved a tough test and only 6 players managed nett scores of level par or better. Andy Smith was the Nett Champion with the day's best score of 68, just winning a countback over David Sclater of Slinfold.

The Scratch Champion this year is Trevor Loftus (the tall one!) who is a member of Mannings Heath. Trevor scored 79 and won the scratch competition by 2 shots over Tom Smith & Ashley Jefferies who both had 81.

Nearest-the-pin prizes went to Geoff Lodge (Mannings Heath) on the 5th hole and Adrian Dudman on the 18th. Longest drive was won by 5-handicapper Colin Gibson, also from Mannings Heath (but beaten into 4th place in the main competition by his mate!)

The other happy chap yesterday was Chris Talman......

Chris had the only '2' of the day (on the 9th hole) and took

home all the sweep money!

Well done to all the winners and a big thank you to all the competitors who took part. For full results see below:-
